Animal Portraits

Each portrait starts with a photograph and ends somewhere more personal than that. Painted in acrylics on canvas, fur is rendered stroke by stroke, backgrounds are loose and expressive, and the subject itself treated with the kind of attention that makes an animal feel genuinely seen rather than just documented.
